3 Simple Ways To Get Recognised In-House CPE
Compass approach
An ongoing and challenging issue facing practitioners today is remaining up to date with developments occurring in the profession. To facilitate a smoother path to compliance, by at least observing the minimum Continuous Porfessional Education (CPE) training, Compass can act as your partner in designing an in-house CPE training programme, whereby you specify the training requirements and let us design a unique training solution for your needs. However, you are the driver of the training programme as you command:-
1. Training Agenda
2. Duration of the course
3. Timing of the course
4. Selection of Tutors / Experts / Speakers
And all of this at the comfort of your own office whereby interaction and involvement of participants with the speakers is guaranteed!
Format
Each course format is tailored according to the specific needs of the practice in a known and relaxed environment. It involves providing practical hands-on training whilst recommending best possible solutions. Participants know each other and hence are more inclined to ask daring questions. This instigates active participation throughout the session whilst ensuring that one expands on the skill sets. Rest assured that this powerful learning experience puts you in the driving seat where you are treated as a partner and not a number! Now that is an added value! At the end of the course, COMPASS will provide you with a CPE certificate that can be claimed as structured CPE hours when submitting the Annual Return to the Malta Institute of Accountants / Accountancy Board.
CPE Recognition
Every year all accountants and auditors are required to attend for a minimum of 25 hours of structured CPE, to secure both their warrant and their MIA membership. At least ten (10) hours of structured CPE must be carried out in those areas qualifying as Core Competencies. The balance of fifteen (15) hours of structured CPE must be carried out in those areas qualifying as either Core or Professional Development Competencies.
Compass Malta’s in-house training courses can be claimed as CPE structured hours in terms of MIA regulations satisfying the relevance, measurable and verifiable criteria in adherence to the CPE Scheme issued by the Accountancy Board (dated 28.08.2015).
